SAM THOMPSON IS NOW A MILLIONAIRE! I'M A CELEBRITY WINNER HAS RAKED IN £400,000 IN THE LAST YEAR FOLLOWING HIS SUCCESS ON THE ITV SHOW - AMID 'CRISIS TALKS WITH GIRLFRIEND ZARA MCDERMOTT'

Sam Thompson can now call himself a millionaire following a successful year which saw him rake in £400,000, according to new accounts filed.

The I'm A Celebrity winner's career has gone from strength to strength following his win on the gruelling ITV reality show last November.

Sam, 31, began hosting Hits Radio at the start of last year and also has a successful podcast with his pal Pete Wicks called Staying Relevant.

The former MIC star is a regular panellist on Love Island: Aftersun, as well as co-hosting the Love Island: The Morning After podcast with Indiyah Pollack.

Sam's celebrity has attracted a host of lucrative brand deals and he also had his first cameo film role as Security Man Sam in Inside Out 2 this year.

Following his bumper year, Companies House records reveal that his shareholder funds now stand at more than £1million, at £1,059,659.

Accounts filed this month reveal that the funds stood at £649,826 at the same time last year, meaning that Sam has earnt £409,833 in 12 months.

While Sam's finances are on the up, the same sadly cannot be said for his personal life amid rumours of strife at home with his long-term girlfriend, Zara McDermott.

The couple's romance is said to have been on the rocks of late after the ex Strictly star, 27, reportedly rushed to her parents house following a 'blazing row' with Sam and packed her bags, leaving the London home they share.

It came after they were pictured engaged in a heated chat after Soccer Aid, before Zara was later seen reportedly crying near their home in west London.

Last week, Sam's famous sister Louise Thompson dismissed any signs of trouble revealing she and boyfriend Ryan Libbey, 33, will soon be joining the couple for a sun-soaked getaway.

Telling OK!: 'We've got plans to go on holiday with Sam and Zara this summer, which will be lovely' - however it is unclear when the interview took place.

Zara's representatives declined to comment, MailOnline have also also approached Sam's reps.

Earlier this week, in snaps obtained by The Sun, Zara appeared emotional and could be seen speaking on her phone with one onlooker claiming she screamed: 'I'm not feeling the way I need to feel and I've been putting it off.'

They went on to tell the publication that star was 'in a bad way' and 'clearly distressed' saying: 'She was pacing up and down the same road holding a cup of coffee. She was beside herself.'

Nevertheless, amid claims their relationship problems are simply desperate publicity stunt, the onlooker admitted finding the spectacle rather strange.

'It was odd she was having such a personal conversation outside in broad daylight instead of at home'.

Following their tense exchange at Soccer Aid Zara hit back and said she was giving Sam 'positive affirmations', after it looked like they were having an argument.

Meanwhile  Sam broke his silence after he was consoled by his pal Pete Wicks at the TRIC Awards last week amid reports of his 'crisis talks' with Zara.

In pictures exclusively obtained by MailOnline, the I'm A Celebrity winner was spotted during an emotional exchange with his close friend in the smoking area at London's Grosvenor House Hotel.

Sam appeared to break down in tears before Pete sweetly embraced him, however the Made In Chelsea star has now explained why he was so emotional.

Speaking on his podcast Staying Relevant, he revealed he had received some upsetting news that day but confirmed he wasn't crying.

'I wasn't crying, I wasn't actually crying. I just want to let everyone know that now.

'Look, there's no way of getting around it. I had actually received some bad news, so I actually was really sad, I'm not going to lie about it, but I was.'

Sam explained that Pete took him around the back of the hotel to console him and provide a shoulder to cry on.

He explained: 'I let it go, I let it all out. I am head butting Pete's shoulder. I am caressed into his armpit and he is being such a good mate saying "I am always there for you blah blah blah" and I am feeling very sorry for myself.'

During the awards both the pair's podcast and I'm A Celebrity were nominated, but neither managed to bag the accolade.

Lightening the mood, Pete joked: 'Personally I just think it was Sam's way of letting out the fact that we hadn't won an award. I think that's where the tears stemmed from.'

Sam didn't address his relationship as he thanked his followers and listeners for reaching out and sharing their support after the TRIC snaps.

He finished: 'I really appreciate it. Thank you very much. Everything is good now but it was a tough old time.
