PRINCE HARRY WOULD 'LOVE TO RECONNECT' WITH KATE, BUT WILLIAM NOT 'WILLING' - ROYAL AUTHOR
Prince Harry would "love to reconnect" with his sister-in-law Kate Middleton after news of her cancer diagnosis, a royal author has claimed - however, Prince William reportedly isn't too keen on the reunion.
Speaking to Fox News Digital, royal expert and author of The King, Christopher Andersen, said although Harry would like to reunite with Kate, the one major roadblock is his brother.
"They were once extremely close, and Harry was hit hard by the news of her cancer diagnosis, which he learned about just the way the rest of us did, via Kate's shocking video," Andersen said.
"Unfortunately, it doesn't appear [Prince] William is willing to let his brother anywhere near his ailing wife.
"There was just too much drama between the brothers and their wives, and there is lingering bitterness on everyone's part. So, the chances of even a meeting between Harry and the rest of the royal family, much less some sort of reconciliation, seem extremely slim."
Andersen's comments come as Prince Harry arrived in the UK to celebrate the launch of the Invictus Games.
Although he made a flying visit to see his father, King Charles, after it was revealed the 75-year-old had been diagnosed with cancer in February, the two will reportedly not reunite on his latest trip.
"It unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty's full programme," a spokesperson told media.
"The Duke of course is understanding of his father's diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon."
While Harry was at London's St Paul's Cathedral for the Invictus Games service, the King was hosting the first annual garden party at Buckingham Palace, accompanied by other senior royals. The monarch was also due to carry out an engagement at a military training base on Thursday (UK time).
After leaving Britain, Harry will be joined by his wife Meghan, who did not come with him to London, for a visit to Nigeria.
