BAD NEWS FOR CORONATION STREET AND EMMERDALE FANS AS ITV SOAPS PULLED FROM SCHEDULES

Emmerdale and Coronation Street viewers will be disappointed this evening (Wednesday 10 July) as the ITV shows have been cancelled in a huge schedule shake-up.

The hit ITV soaps typically air on Wednesday night with Emmerdale airing 7:30pm while Coronation Street airs 8pm. However, tonight, in a huge schedule shake-up, viewers will miss out on their soap fix thanks to the Live UEFA Euros 2024, where England will play Netherlands. The football coverage will air 6:30pm until at least 10:45pm.

And there's more bad news ahead for soap fans as on Friday (12 July) Coronation Street, which typically airs at 8pm on Fridays, will again be cancelled for the football coverage. However, Emmerdale will still air albeit at the earlier time of 7pm.

Meanwhile, it's not just the soaps interrupted as Love Island is in a huge schedule shake-up on Wednesday night with the show set to air at a later time. The hit ITV2 dating series typically airs at 9pm on ITV2 but on Wednesday night (10 July) Love Island will be airing at 10pm instead.

Soap fans have found Emmerdale, Coronation Street and EastEnders either cancelled or in big schedule shake-ups as the football coverage airs. In more recent days, Wimbledon 2024 coverage has also impacted TV schedules.

Corrie fans will be keen to catch up on the cobbles action after Lauren Bolton made a shock comeback on Monday. Weeks on from a brutal attack by Joel Deering, which Weatherfield residents still don't know about, Lauren, who was believed to be dead, was revealed to be alive as she headed to the hospital to visit Roy Cropper after he suffered a heart attack weeks on from him being wrongly imprisoned for Lauren's 'murder'.

And things only got more explosive on Tuesday's episode when Joel confronted Lauren at the hospital, forcing her into a family room and pleading with her not to reveal all about what happened. As violent and evil Joel went to lash out again, Lauren protected her stomach revealing she was five months pregnant with his baby in a huge bombshell. The episode ended with Lauren managing to escape the hospital and fleeing in a taxi, as Joel set chase to cover his tracks.
